I actually hated this album at first but it grew on me. And it’s growing on me period took about 4-5 years. For what it is, it’s not too shabby. I’m also kind of biased because I have a huge crush on Davey’s voice (and lisp).

The Promise Ring – ”Wood/Water”
”Size Of Your Life” & ”Suffer Never” are classics.
Agreed. But you gotta add ”Become Anything One Time”, ”My Life Is At Home” and ”Bread and Coffee”. This album really took me by suprise. TPR always tweaked their sound from album to album, and you could almost sense what direction they were heading, but after the power poppy ”Very Emergency” (which is my least TPR album), I don’t think any of us were expecting what ”Wood/Water” had to offer.
